Porsche key services in detail
All keys lost. When there is no working Porsche key left, we originate one. The blade is cut to the vehicle's key code or decoded from the door or ignition lock, then the transponder or smart key is written into the immobilizer so the engine will start. Depending on the model year this is done through the OBD port or, on some encrypted platforms, on the bench.
Spare keys. If you still have one working key, adding a second is quicker and cheaper. We recommend every Porsche owner keep a spare at home - a single key is the number one reason people end up paying for an emergency call.
Remote and fob repair. Buttons that stopped responding are often a dead battery, a cracked shell or a broken solder joint rather than a failed fob. We test, repair or replace the shell and re-sync the remote functions.
